come guys... I know you all are not that oblivious

I think some of you all miss the significance of things and the impact they have on us... For the last 25 years white kids have not wanted to play RB because historically they will be stereotyped as not being able to cut it. So kids who may have been athletic enough were deterred from playing RB and sometimes even fooball all together. ie the emergence of lacross in the suburbs. Now a few young white kids will see Hillis and want to be like him. And we may start seeing more white RB's at the college and pro level. So it is very much important...

Peyton Hillis has been my fantasy football go to guy all year. However, his last two performances have sadly cost me big time.

I sense some very poor satire going on here...

There are and have been plenty of really good white running backs in college football - Toby Gerhart just last year was a runner up in the Heisman. Most of them just don't have what it takes (for whatever reason) to compete at the next level.

I'm sure aspiring white running backs aren't worried about looking to the NFL for white running backs to be inspired. It's a different dynamic at work, without getting too far into race. My nephew grew up idolizing Barry Sanders and that didn't stop him from playing RB in high school - in fact, it encouraged him. Talent was what kept him from playing football in college.
