It's a shame for real, that entire division needs to be contracted and start all over.

Today is 12/18/10:

St. Louis 6 wins 7 losses
Seattle 6 wins 7 losses
San Francisco 5 wins 9 losses
Arizona 4 wins 9 losses

The sad thing about it is that Seattle got blown out by a garbage 49er team and they can still win the division...even worse, that garbage 5 win 3rd place 49er team can still win the division (for them).

After this week is over, it is quite possible to have two 6-8 teams and two 5-9 teams. The Rams may lose to K.C., the Seahawks I expect will lose to Atlanta, and the Cards should beat Carolina.

Won't be easy, but the Eagles can do it.

I disagree, I think the Saints have a chance Week 16.

Here's the current playoff standing for the NFC (the better conference this year): 2010 NFL Playoff Standing.

Right now, it looks as if the South and East will get two teams while the North gets 1 and the West will get 1 (even though they're undeserving). When it's all said and done, I think it'll look like this:

1)ATL 13-3
2)Philly 12-4
3)Chicago 11-5
4)It really doesn't matter but I'll say St. Louis 7-9 or 8-8
5)New Orleans 13-3
6)Tampa Bay 11-5*

*I think New Orleans will tank the Jan 2nd game for strategic reasons.

For the Eagles and Giants, tomorrows game may not only be for the NFC East but also the wild card. I think it will all come down to how well the Giants run the ball, their defense is very good and the Birds will put up points. We will know a lot more on this at 4 tomorrow...

I think whoever wins the Eagles-Giants game tomorrow is the most dangerous threat to the Falcons in the NFC playoffs.

I think ATL would match up well with the Giants...Go Giants (for 1 day only).

I like the Saints strategy-lol Because Atlanta is not a solid number one seed and will probably be one and done after playing the giants or packers

well I didn't get the christmas gift I wanted today with the Eagles winning because they will defintely be in the playoffs. All I can hope for now is a Bears win tomorrow and next week and a Eagles loss to Dallas so they can get the number 2 seed

EDIT

Tampa's out (next year maybe) and New Orleans will not be tanking anything now. The NFC West is funny, they failed to win a game this week (I think it's the 4th time that's happened to that division).

TVSG, keep sleeping on the Dirty Birds, it's nothing new. I saw your other thread, I didn't know that weak teams came in the 12-2 variety...That made me smile a little.
