I didn't like him from the time I saw him wearing that humongous cross around his neck every single game. But he did allow my Raiders to have a better season than those other guys. Good riddance.

I like Singletary b/c he is an old-school no nonsense guy. But honestly he was in way over his head in SF. I think he can be a good DC or a position coach but he just wasn't ready for the HC job or dealing with that mess in SF.

The guy is just expressing his faith. Nothing wrong as long as he ain't forcing it on his players. Do you have a problem with Hussain Abduallah on the Vikings fasting every Ramadan while in training camp? How about Ricky Williams dietary selections being a Hindu?

I don't like the fact that any coach can and does get fired during the season , I think coaches should get fired after the season. Well, it's a great move for the niners they have the talent but they just need a better coach.

I rarely think its smart to fire a coach before the season is over, but I certainly think the teams should have the ability to do so. You can cut players, why shouldn't you be able to cut a coach?

Unfortunately, being a good human being doesn't make you a successful NFL head coach. I hope he finds his niche down the road.
