Who will represent this pathetic division, and why?

Better Question: Who cares?

But seriously, the NFL's playoff system would be perfect if they let a team that had a winning record go instead of a Division Champion who finished 7-9.

They can keep their championship.... but no playoffs. EVERYONE WINS SOMETHING.

I think the Rams will win out. Bradford looks good and they just seem to have much more drive and determination than the Seahawks do at this point. Since I am a true fan of neither team, who actually wins is irrelevant to me, but I kind of hope the Seahawks win, as they are considered the "local team" where I currently reside. If they're gonna do it though, they need to get their act together really fast.

I think that the Rams will take the West (and get beat in the playoffs). Let's all hope that Seattle can just go away because the NFL doesn't need a 7-9 division winner in the playoffs.

I think it would be hysterical if Seattle wins. A losing record getting into the playoffs would put alot of pressure on the league to make changes. Maybe a minimum requirement of at least an 8-8 or better required and if one less team makes it than a 3rd team gets a bye in that conference.

Sorry, but if you win your division, you win your division and if you win your division you go to the playoffs. Changing the rules because of a particularly bad season is no way to make rules that last longer than the a particularly bad season.

I'm with St. Louis on this. The Rams at least have a halfway respectable defense and a halfway decent QB. The Hawks don't.

I think it will be great if whoever comes out of the NFC West wins the Super Bowl.

Obviously, neither team belongs in the playoffs...but I believe Seattle will win because they're playing at home. What's an outrage is that the winner will get to host a first round game, probably against the Saints.

Here's where a rule change could be made: seed the playoff teams by record on that first weekend, regardless of who won what division title. That way, a team like the Seahawks or Rams will still make the playoffs but won't be rewarded with a home game..
