One of the worst football games that I had the "pleasure" of trying to endure; neither of these teams deserves to be in the playoffs, especially when there are two 10-6 teams ( Giants, Bucs) who would be much more competitive..

The St. Louis gameplan was conservative to the extreme; their QB rarely even attempted any passes of more than 10 yards until the game was almost over, and Seattle was simply unimpressive..

An amendment needs to be made now...

All I would do is reseed home field. Making the playoffs although odd is one thing, ...but a home game??

An amendment to what? Change the postseason because something happened that has NEVER hapened before, and will probably NEVER happen again?

Great idea.

Maybe the Bucs and Giants should have won their way in.

They did win their final game, and they won 3 more games than the pathetic Seahawks, the "winners" of the worst division in the NFL...

Maybe the Seahawks should have a winning record before they enter the playoffs...but I guess that's asking a little too much..

Part of the allure and hope the NFL sells each year is that you can make the playoffs and host a game by being better than the 3 other teams in your division .... every now and again things go awry, but all in all there is intrigue down the stretch, it helps provide a competative balance and keeps fans engaged

no one was crying when the 86 seahawks didn't make it with 10 wins (a rarity at the time), when the colts had to travel to SD or the patriots missed the playoffs a couple years ago

not perfect, but very entertaining and overall good

How do the Raiders go undefeated within their division and still not win it? I honestly don't know. NFL rules must be weird. Too drunk to look it up.

No, it's not asking too much, but they won the division. Losing record or not, that gets them in. The Bucs and Giants may have won more, but they didn't win enough. The Giants can look at the Philly game if they want to cry about missing the playoffs.

As I said in a previous post, it's never happened before, and probably never will again. It's not worth changing the way the NFL postseason works over a one-time anomaly like this, and it's not worth getting worked up over. The Hawks will be gone in a little less than a week anyway.

The Seahawks were not a very good team this year, and finished about where they were expected to. Blame the rest of the NFC West for being so inept that they let Seattle win the Division.

Because they had fewer total wins than the Chiefs.

Sweeping the Division is nice, but it's only 6 wins.

yep - there are 10 other games on the schedule that you need to worry about

last year the 49ers were crowing how they were the real division champs because they swept the cardinals

pretty much every expert picked the 49ers to edge the cards and make some noise .... both teams went out of their way to trash talk each other

well they did end up battling it out for the basement

seattle did about what was expected of them .... the rams better than expectations .... the cardinals & 49ers just fell off ..... not much different than teams like the cowboys, vikings & other sure fire darlings ..... they just didn't have anyone else there to pick up the rest of the division (like a resurgent chicago team) .... the rams +6 improvement wasn't enough to get them above 7-9
