Who cares? I have never understood why fans care about the national perception of their team. It is actually an advantage to be underappreciated.

The Falcons arent getting respect yet because they are a new powerhouse. You have to win like that for a couple of years or really show something to gain national respect or you need to be one of the league's premier franchises which the Falcons are not.

Good point. I love the Bears being the underdogs with homefield advantage.

Many still thought they'd miss the playoffs 4 weeks ago since there was "no way" they get wins against good teams down the stretch.

Umm..... you ignored my breakdown of the ESPN power rankings. For now I'm going to call the "lack of respect" whining by Atlanta fans. Boo freaking hoo....if you were a Bears fan you'd have thrown yourself off a cliff by now for the lack of respect. Grow a set and cheer for your team.

I heard someone on TV call the Falcons a "paper tiger" before the game......

Nuff said...

(I can guarantee you will not have alot of postings today from Falcons fans...they'll lurk but will be afraid to take their medicine....)

Falcons look like they were getting about as much respect as they should have. I expected the Packers to win, but honestly I expected the Falcons to at least put up a fight and make it interesting. They were extremely outmatched.

I would have to dig back to yesterdays paper to check the line for this game. Txboomerang is right-it looked to me most of the media was picking the Packers. Credit the Packers, they basically took apart the Falcons.
