Not sure who you are directing this at. I personally think they deserve to be number one seed. That said, it doesn't necessarily give them a free trip to the SB.

Agreed...I too are not sure who you are directing this at but I know I've thought all season they were a definite top 5 team in the NFL.

I don't mean that per se. But no one really ever talks about the Falcons in the same breath as the lesser Eagles, Saints, Packers, Bears ,etc.
They will go to the SB.........
It will be NE and ATL........

Really I think the Falcons and Matty "Ice" (I hate that nickname) have been getting a ton of love. If there is a high ranking NFC team that the ESPN and crew have been down on all season, including now, its the Bears...

Say what?

They are the clear favorite out of the east and have been getting ESPN love all year long. The Bears, the #2 seed get less respect than pretty much any team in the NFC except Seattle.

Can someone post up the current vegas odds to win the superbowl by team? I can't access it but I am betting it makes my point.

Can you back up any of that? Falcons have been anywhere from #1-#3 in the ESPN power rankings since week 9 or 10.

Here are the current rankings...yeah, those poor underrated Falcons at #2.
NFL Power Rankings Week 18 - National Football League - ESPN
Atlanta at #2.
Bears at #6...and even the comment is a snide remark at the bears QB.

NFL Power Rankings Week 12 - National Football League - ESPN
Now lets look back a bit....week 12...Falcons ranked #1

NFL Power Rankings Week 5 - National Football League - ESPN
Atlanta #5, Bears #11

NFL Power Rankings Week 1 - National Football League - ESPN
Atlanta #7, Bears #21

I meant a lot of the commentators, saying the Falcons are not for real, etc....
