I am a Raider hater. Have been since the sixties but at this time I feel sorry for Raider fans everywhere.
Somebody put that doderring old man in a nursing home! Cable was doing a heck of a job especially with the mess he inherited. He just gets things rolling and gets fired??? Somebody will come in with a different system and start the whole mess all over. No established coach with any sense would touch that job.
Nobody with a brain should want to work for Al Davis.
Same thing with little Danny boy in DC. Thank goodness he hooked up with the Shenahan's! They'll gladly continue Snyder's crusade to ruin a once-great franchise.
Raiders? I'm sorry but are you referring to "the" Raiders? You know, from Oakland? Or are you referring to Raiders East? You know, from Washington...used to be called the Redskins?

Cable was doing a great job, Al wants to promote Hue Jackson up to head coach. that's why the move. He was afraid Hue would get a head coaching job somewhere else....
Don't know what's so great about him, but we'll see......

Yeah, but look at the upside: if you can have even modest success there working for that undead crazy corpse, it proves that you are legit head coaching material. Coaching there hasn't hurt Gruden, Turner, or Kiffin.
Being a Charger fan, of course I wouldn't cry if this sets back the Raiders...they were tough this year and kicked our XXX twice. I thought Cable was doing a good job, but we all know Al is the real coach there. I keep hearing they have to find a great QB, but I thought Jason did a pretty good job and they have a good running back. The NFL is in chaos regarding coaches.
Cable had support from the players, fans were excited, and they were a completely different team from last season. Besides, who's going to want to coach there if they have to deal with Davis?
Too much history and pride in that club to let that crotchety fool persist in dragging them down.
