If all special teamers I have to go with:

Punter: Ray Guy - 6-7 second hang time on punts made it difficult for ANYONE to return punts.
Punt Returner: Devin Hester. Dude is just awesome.
Kick Returner: Devin Hester
Coverage guys: Bill Bates. Tedy Bruschi was fun to watch when he was covering kicks.
Just coverage guys. I am also going to make a KR/PR list. I was going to make a long snapper list, but that's too esoteric even for me.

Josh Cribbs - Browns, is another that at least deserves mention. In addition to his work returning kicks and punts he's been a monster on the coverage teams. Didn't do nearly as much of that this year with his expanded role in the offense and several lingering injuries but the guy really brought the thunder on coverage teams for several years.

Tasker and White Shoes were both awesome.

I think you guys pretty much named the people I was thinking about: Reyna Thompson, Dave Meggett, Dante Hall, Devin Hester, Ray Guy, Sean Landeta, Steve Tasker.

Did anyone mention Brian Mitchell?

What about special teams coverage guys/blockers?

A few have made huge impacts.

Here are a Top 10 (11) by a special teams geek, in no particular order:

Steve Tasker (he is the best ever)
Mosi Tatupu (a close No. 2)
Reyna Thompson
Larry Izzo
Bill Bates
Rufus Porter
Eugene Seale (relatively short career - hardest hitter on coverage/best blocker I have ever seen on kickoff returns)
Sean Morey
Matt Blair (best I ever saw at blocking FG and XP)
Mark Pike
Ted Hendricks (also very good at blocking kicks and punts)
Detron Smith (Broncos) and Larry Whigham (Patriots) were two of the better coverage men to play special teams in the NFL. David Bruton is making a case for being high on the list of active players.

Darrien Gordon is pretty much the consensus pick for best punt returner of the modern era. Charlie Rogers, Tamarick Vanover and Dante Hall were also pretty dangerous in their day.

Sanders was overrated I thought and I'm a Hester fan. He is absolutely amazing, the fact that no one kicks to him speaks for itself.

I remember his first games where he ran it back and then they kicked it to him again he did a 2nd time, amazed me how long it took teams to figure him out.

Whigham was definitely a good one. Dunno much about Bruton or Smith.

Detron Smith was the AFC's special teams Pro Bowler in 1999.

Hester by a mile....its not even close.

Hester has the career record 14 TD returns and has only played 5 seasons.
He has returned 1 in 20 punts or kicks for a TD.

Dante Hall....12 TD in 9 seasons, about 1 every 52 or so kicks.

#1 all-time yrds per punt return? Devin Hester by a large margin.
