They're not going... to L.A., anyway.

And who said the 49ers? Honestly? They've been out of the running since this started.

Based on the ability to keep the lights on, looks like about 4 days too late and counting

On a serious note, I glanced at the screen with no volume and saw the lights and first thought was oh no, reminded me of the 93 series. Was glad to hear it was just a transformer

More likely the Raiders and 49ers are going to share a stadium. Might make sense if you think about it since Santa Clara's stadium is equidistant from both Oakland and San Francisco, and both teams could theoretically help pay for the stadium.

Raiders' relocation scenarios take on new dynamic - NFL - Yahoo! Sports

Now that Al Davis has passed (who hated the idea of sharing a stadium with any team, but wanted a new stadium), that's probably a bigger reality than moving the Raiders moving to LA again.

The irony is that both teams would probably keep their names, furthering confusion. The San Francisco 49ers and the Oakland Raiders playing in Santa Clara.

So to those 14 who voted for Minnesota.... your vote OFFICIALLY doesn't count anymore.

not so fast there buck-snort , there's a little matter of it getting approved by the city and legislature first.

Any agreement would be just the first step in the stadium process: The package would need to pass the Legislature and likely the Minneapolis City Council -- neither of which is assured. Tentative Vikings stadium deal is set | StarTribune.com

The city approval hinges on whether or not a referendum will be held for the project, the city charter requires such for any city funding of a sports facility in excess of $10M. The Twins sneaked around this by having the funding come through the county, which up to this point the county has gone out of their way to say they wouldn't do again for the Vikings Stadium.

Even if they somehow manage to ignore that silly referendum nonsense, the city council is currently split 7 - 6 against funding a stadium and that was when the T-Wolves arena (that the city owns) was to receive "considerations" in the Viking Stadium funding. The current agreement specifically leaves out any Target Center funding. So there's that.

Around about 1999 a Twins Stadium Bill reached the state legislature and failed to pass, it was seven years before they introduced another bill.

if the NFL truly wanted to be in L.A. they would have put a new team there immediately after the Rams and Raiders left, but they are just using L.A. as Leverage, a Bargaining-Chip to get stadium deals done in other cities, states.

Uh, not really.

The current Houston Texans are supposed to be in L.A. right now.

Thing is, their stadium issue heald them back and they didn't have good enough ownership.
