Amazing - here is a Professional Football QB and he has to resort to mean cruel activities that are so inhumane to any animal - he should go to jail - with all his friends and be locked up with the siblings of the "dogs" they murdered - by electrocuting, smashing, etc.
It is so sad - not only for animal lovers - but for humans themselves - that this is encouraged - that it is found to be entertainment
these pro ball players are supposed to be examples to the youth today - BUT there always seems to be one"bad apple" in the mix - that thinks they are bigger and better than the almighty up above....
send them all to jail and tear up his career.......

Cani..it's all over the news tonight.

ABC News: Vick Indicted for Sponsoring Dogfighting
Vick Indicted in Dogfight Investigation - Forbes.com (broken link)
http://news.google.com/news/url?sa=t...cid=1117915424

Those are just the first three I saw on a google news search..plus it's on all the tv news stations too.

What drives me absolutely mad is that often cruelty to animals gets such light sentences.

Vick is nothing but a thug and should be punished for cruelty to animals. Anyone that enjoys watching poor animals mull eachother has serious mental and emotional issues.

MLB gets a bad rap for steroids and the NBA is considered by some to be a league where fights and other "non family friendly" activities take place...yet it's the NFL that is the biggest problem of all. People love the league and will overlook anything and everything....

The NFL has guys like Ray Lewis, Michael Vick, Pacman Jones, Terrell Owens, Todd Sauerbrun...just to name a few.

I think the biggest problem is that people love THEIR TEAM and will overlook anything and everything. The hypocrisy of sports fans can be downright sick and disgusting at times. I've seen the love for Ray Lewis in Maryland, the love for Latrell Sprewell in New York. It is pretty shameful to say the least.

Amen.

Vick blows. Couldnt stand him from day one. This makes him even more despicable in my eyes. I say feed him to the lions, see how he feels.

And not the Detroit Lions, either. Even if they caught him, they wouldn't know what to do with him...

Lots of people are complaining to Nike..Vicks has a nice fat contract with them:

Contact Nike regarding Michael Vick
Body: Even though Michael Vick was federally indicted yesterday for animal cruelty, Nike has decided to keep Vick as a spokesperson.

Call 1-800-344-6453 (6am - 4pm PT, Monday - Friday) Press prompt #5.

Tell them your name and state, and inform them that you will not be purchasing Nike products, nor will you invest in the company as a shareholder, until they drop Michael Vick as a sponsored athlete.

You can also e-mail them. Go to Nike.com
Click on Customer Service at the bottom of that page. Then go to Contact Us. Go to the bottom to Nike USA Consumer Services.
Click on Email us.
In the first drop down box click on Nike - The Company.
Then click on other in the next drop down box.
Put Michael Vick as the subject and type your e-mail.
