Jeff Fisher, gone from the Tennessee Titans after being the head coach since 1995. Now from ESPN's Adam Shefter is a report that the Titans are going to make a decision regarding trading quarterback Vince Young or just outright releasing him. From what Shefter is saying trading him is preferred. I'm sure they would like to do that, I'm sure there is a sizable payment due Young in the next couple months. Funny thing, with the problems the team had I always thought either one or the other would go, but not both.

Opinions?

I never would have figured the Titans would consider getting rid of both of them. They also decided to get rid of Fisher a little late IMO. Even if they find a good HC, he may have problems assembling his coaching staff for this next season as most positions coaches have probably already commited to other teams at this point.

Yeah, I never thought they'd get rid of both especially Jeff Fisher. I think he's a great coach, I really like him. I wish the Colts could hire him!! He'd be a great fit in Indy.

Im surprised, too. I thought after the owner decided to dump Young, they were really going to keep Fisher. Now, it appears that they are going to dump Young and Fisher--who saw that coming?

I think the Titans just decided they needed to start fresh.

Could Kevin Kolb or Donovan McNabb be on the Titans radar?

"Definitely I am a starting quarterback, an elite quarterback in the NFL. I want to go ahead and start. But like it always is, the coaches have the last word."

Definitely he's delusional.

The Titans have a window of like 10 days to trade him or pay him 8.5 mil. I think they will try to deal hard, then cut him before they have to pay him.

He'd be a great fit as a backup in Detroit. He'd be worth a 4th round pick.

Almost criminally so. He's not even a league average quarterback, much less elite.

Gosh, being that delusional--no wonder he isnt a good quarterback.

They kept saying things like he wasnt willing to work, so if he already thought he was good...

...Wow.

Good move, not because Fisher is a bad coach, but he and the titans just lost their chemistry. He had a good run. 16 yrs with one organization is a major accomplishment. As for Vince Young, he just wasn't the QB everyone thought he was going to be. He's not really a good passer and tries to run with the ball right away. He a head case with a poor attitude.

Being from Scranton, I like seeing Mike Munchak promoted to head coach. Hope he does a great job and has the Titans in the Super Bowl. I'd like to see them pick up Kevin Kolb or Donovan McNabb to replace Young.
