'Never missed a Super Bowl' member passes away - NFL- NBC Sports (http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/41582264/ - broken link)

Quote:
MILWAUKEE (AP) - One of the men featured in a Visa commercial for having never missed a Super Bowl has died at age 79.

Bob Cook, who was too sick to make it to Texas, watched from a Milwaukee area hospital bed as his beloved Green Bay Packers beat the Pittsburgh Steelers to win the Super Bowl XLV. Cook died last week surrounded by his family.
I salute you.

I wonder how much he spent on tickets/air fare, hotels, etc over the years. Or, what would be the net present value of all those expenses?

I also wonder if how his wife "permitted" him to spend that kind of money. Think there weren't some arguments?

"We need new tile in the kitchen!",
"I'm going with or without you!"
"What about Billy's braces?
etc.

At least he got to see his team win another Super Bowl before he went. Sucks that he couldn't be there, though.
