Joe Flacco
or
Matt Ryan

Both have been successful straight out of college.
Do YOu think either one is a SuperBowl Capable QB?

They are pretty even stats wise. I believe Joe has had more success in the playoffs. Ryan seems to get more media coverage though.
Some believe neither is good enough to win a superbowl though

What Do YOU think?

Matt Ryan, and it's not even close. That guy is a legitimate franchise quarterback. Flacco is just above average.

Any QB on a Super Bowl team is "capable". I think either can find success with their team but neither can lead a team like Manning, Brady or Brees.

Ryan is the better of these two. Ryan, IMO, could still develop into a top 5 QB. Flacco I am not sure will be that good.

Agree, both are good to very good QB's, and on a good team are capable of a Super Bowl win. (Heck, look at the list of average QB's to win a super bowl, many a lot worse than these two).

Trouble in the NFL everyone uses playoff wins/SB as a guideline. Everyone raved last year about the Falcons and their 13-3 record, how great they were, certainly did not mean much. Let's see how Matt Ryan handles the Pack in 2 weeks, once again in Atlanta.

I think all young QBs have to pay their dues, Aaron Rodgers wasn't considered that great last year by some talking heads until the playoff/SB run.

These two are young, they can go places but do need a great supporting cast, too!

I like Flacco, but Matt Ryan by a mile.

Ryan will probably be a top 3 QB within the next 5 years after Brady and manning leave.

Flacco gets better every year. My vote goes to him and yes I think he has a legit shot to make it to the superbowl this year.

The only reason ryan looks better than flacco is because all he does is hand the ball off too turner. Ok maybe im making a story up because i happen to like the ravens

Both are good, but not dominant. Either one could help a team get to a Super Bowl, but at this point, I don't think either is going to lead their team to a Super Bowl.

Of the two, I'd give the edge to Ryan.

I think Ryan is going to be right under Rodgers as the best QB in the league when Manning and Brady retire.

Any QB in the league can be a Super Bowl QB is they are on a Super Bowl winning team. I really hate that people think that QBs win Super Bowls and not the team. A QB cannot catch passes, make tackles, block, kick field goals, punt or all the other jobs needed to win.

What's interesting about these 2 guys is not only were they both 1st round draft picks in 2008 (by teams that have a bird as the nickname), but they are also both from the Philadelphia area.

Based on what they've done in their careers, I'd say Joe Flacco is a good, somewhat above average QB and Matt Ryan is a good to very good QB. Neither guy is a great QB right now. I'd say Ryan is better, and could lead the Falcons to a Super Bowl. Flacco could also help take the Ravens to a Super Bowl, but he'd need more help to do so.

One other thought - if Eli Manning can take a team to a Super Bowl, then either Ryan or Flacco can too because I think both guys are better than Eli (who to be fair played excellent in the 2007 playoffs and 2008 regular season but otherwise has been at best average for the rest of his career IMO).
