Ok, we got half a season in the books (there about) lets post our playoff predictions and I would say by week ten, with our collective wisdom we will have the playoffs pretty well lined up
I'll start:
NFC 1. Packers
2. SF (and will lose their first game in the post season)
3. Saints
4. Eagles (no really look a the Giants next few games, and c'mon Dallas is awful)
5. Lions
6. Bears
Notable NFC teams out: Atlanta, Tampa, Giants
AFC (this is impossible) 1. Steelers (I guess?)
2. Pats
3. Texans (finally they don't crap the bed late season!)
4. Raiders
5. Ravens (I don't believe in this team, I really hate their QB, regardless of what he has done in the playoffs)
6. Bills (what the hell)
Notable AFC teams out: Chargers, Jets, Bungles
---Please note that these are guarantees, but are subject to change every week.
Great post, I'm not sure at all, what a season! Just when you think you have it figured out, something in the AFC drastically changes. I think (for whatever reason) the Bills might be a Cinderella team and being a Packer fan, I hope the 49ers are not!
NFC:
1) Packers, they'll finish no worse then 13-3 this year, clearly the class of the league
2) 49ers. Only because the West is a joke. they get 6 free wins against the Cardinals, Rams & Seahawks
3) Saints. Will be a fight with the Falcons & Buccs, but their the best in that division
4) Eagles. Finally turned it around, but the 1-3 start hurt them in theeir quest for a top 2 seed
5) Falcons. They'll just beat out the Buccs
6) Lions. Giants have a brutal schedule coming up, Dallas is awful, and I'm still not sure Tampa can win on the road.
Notable NFC teams out: Giants, Tampa, Dallas
AFC:
1) Patriots. If they can improve the secondary, they'll be tough to beat
2) Ravens. They'll beat Pitt tonight and own that important head to head tiebreaker
3) Texans. Already in great shape leading an awful division, and only have like 2 or 3 losable games the rest of the way.
4) Oakland. Got an easier schedule then San Diego (especially the final 3 weeks), Denver sucks, and I can't trust a team that's currently losing by 18 points in the 3rd quarter to Miami (that would be KC).
5) Steelers. No doubt they'll be in, I think it'll be by Wildcard, but very well could be division winner, and if that's the case, but the Ravens here.
6) Jets. Seemed to have turned it around after that 3 week road losing stretch in late September early October.
Notable AFC teams out: Cincinnati, San Diego, BUffalo.
At this point my Bills shouldn't be considered unfortunately. And at 6-2 I really think the Bengals need to be considered. It will be hard for them to not make the playoffs at this point. Even if they lose all four of their upcoming games against the Steelers and Ravens they could still be 10-6. But odds are they at least win one of those anyways with the way both of those teams have been Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde this year. They also have two games left this year against the NFC West.
Well, I think from my OP, we can safely remove the Eagles, the Lions are teetering on being out of contention and Buffalo is also probably on the outs.
Chicagos stock is rising in the NFC, as is the Texans in the AFC and I gained respect for the Bengals this weekend, even with a loss.
