Once he was demoted to a backup QB in philly in 1997, he was cut and then picked up by washington in 1999, cut in 2001 and picked up by carolina and then cut in 2004. He actually had a long NFL career because he started in 89 as the Lions QB so he played 15 years.
This is only mcnabb's 12th year in the league so he should have 3 or 4 years left of playing

It's those pesky game films that have a way of getting passed around among those that actually make these decisions. Frankly he's running out of teams that have either a crazy owner or replacing 40 year-old starters.
For the casual fan watching his performance for his last 3 teams, we were pretty much left with shots of McNabb standing on the sideline with a disinterested smirk to judge his potential contribution by.

If Mcnabb can accept that he will be a backup QB the rest of his career then he should be able to play 6 more years

He asked for his release from Minny. Seems like he wasn't happy being a back-up.

Yeah that was dumb because he is in no position to choose where he wants to go. So now he will be HOME the rest of the season
