One year of not playing doesn't matter when you don't have proper mechanics, footwork to start. He needed a serious QB coach a long time ago.

When do we stop making excuses for Tebow and start laying some of the blame on him or his handlers?

In 2011 Tebow wasted the offseason peddling his memoirs. The lockout was the excuse then - even though other players hired trainers and privately worked out.

In 2012 Tebow spent a couple weeks in LA during the offseason working out with Noel Mazzone - big whoop. Elway was roasted by Tebowphiles for sending Tebow packing after "promising" him the starting job. One of my favorite excuses was "Elway's just jealous of Tebow and doesn't want Tim to break his records," so he brought in one of the greatest QBs of all time. Manning not only beat, but completely shattered, most of Elway's team records. Yeah, that makes absolute sense.

The Jets are still being assailed for allowing Tebow to regress even though Tebow has the money and had the time to work one-on-one with a trainer for the entire season.

Now we've got Chris "Idiot Punter" Kluwe stepping into the fray by saying that he and Tebow are out of the league because they're being kept down by the man for their beliefs.

Tebow has not proven he's a competent NFL QB, and if he really wants to be one he's gonna have to eat, breathe, and sleep working on his skills. He hasn't done that yet and likely won't so the odds of him ever being anything more than a sideshow act in the NFL are slim-to-none.

David Carr

Brady Quinn

Matt Leinerd

None of these guys ever had a winning record....But they had those "mechanics" you keep talking about..........

Tebow got it done! And he's won more playoff games in Denver than Manning .....so far.

Please. Tebow's record is 9-7 as a starter. Barely above 50% which is more than I can say for his completion percentage.

He got it done because of adjustments, the rest of the team playing to his skills, he did not do it singlehandedly. Why do people think he is the greatest thing since sliced bread because "he" won a playoff game, big deal.

NOBODY DOES IT SINGLE-HANDEDLY!! But that only seems to apply to Tebow when you make comparisons! Manning makes adjustments! Brady makes adjustments!

That's football! But even with adjustments, some QBs still didn't win as many games as Tebow. Even some deemed more skilled, like the ones I list above, have never sniffed the playoffs.

I hate when people keep bringing this up like it means anything.

Tebow did not win that game any more than Manning lost last year's game. Let's also remember that Denver lost to the Super Bowl Champion Ravens and didn't get blown out either.

I dislike that you compare Tebow to Brady and Manning. The guys have 4 more Super Bowls combined than he will ever have.

That's nothing. Tebow and Terry Bradshaw have a combined 4 Superbowl rings between them.

Who are three quarterbacks who'll get another shot before Tim Tebow?

I'll take overrated athletes for $2000, Alex.
