(and how bad he looked in my personal opinion) is not related to me being a "ratbird homer".
I could care less what dude looks like. I see a bunch of chicks wetting themselves trying to get a hug or a kiss from the guy so, I guess he's got more to him than looks. He's a freaking rock star and a sobered-up one living on borrowed time at that. But if you want to think he's ugly and all that, power to ya.
So I would guess your one of those who lost their hearing back in the day listening to the screamers.
Agree! My wife, not even a football fan happened to be in the room when she sang. My wife was impressed with her singing. I didn't even know she could sing. I just knew she is hot looking from seeing her on TV. Step aside Dolly Parton. Your replacement is here!
Steven Tyler probably wasn't the best choice to sing the Star Spangled Banner A Capella, to open the New England/Baltimore game. He really needs to be drowned in electric guitars. He managed to slightly butcher the words. I love the guy, but that was hard.
I wonder if it's because a rock icon has associated himself with American Idol? I still cannot understand why he did that unless he needs the money.
He sounded exactly like you would expect him to sound. Probably a poor choice if people were expecting some amazing rendition of the song. A fine choice if they wanted to hear Steven Tyler sing it.
Sheesh what a case of the media trying to kick a guy when he's UP!! This isn't Steven's first rodeo being given the honor to sing at games. He lives right in the neighborhood of some of the best teams.
After listening to it again I hear nothing but cheers and thought he did just fine and was on key. If this is all they have to talk about with all that's going on in the world - they need to dig deeper!!
