2 psi in a football is a lot of "variable."

Did you listen? He checks the ball pre game, but do you really think once the game begin he has any time to even think about the ball? Balls change PSI during the game all the time due to conditions. His mind isn't connecting to the ball. Haters just pick at straws.

Here's the thing. If you ask any former or current QB, they know exactly what the football feels like, so to ANY person (even the most homer Patriots fan), there definitely was some suspicion about a lack of honesty coming out.

My gut is that they should've come clean asap and today was a bad job and made the NFL look bad.

In the grand scheme of things, this is no big deal and most of the ballyhoo is made because its the Patriots, but its becoming into a sideshow and I'm really curious how this will quiet down.

Also, don't the refs handle the ball during the game, and why didn't any of the refs question the balls during the 1st half?

Why is it no big deal? Where do we draw the line?

I don't think Brady did himself any favors in the press conference, not at all. What the NFL do I wonder, are the Pats equipment people behind the 8 ball now or not?

Players/coaches are always looking for an edge whether legal or illegal.

I think the Patriots will be penalized for this rules violation, maybe a big fine and draft picks next year, but again, it's a rules violation.

Regardless of the reasons, if the final report comes out and shows definitive conclusions as to how the balls became deflated, or course they should be penalized.

Even if people think Brady's presser didn't do any favors to the Patriots, I still say something still doesn't add up. If the Colts suspected something in the regular season game, why didn't this happen then? If the Ravens suspected something, why didn't something happen then instead of them supposedly warning the Colts? Timing - call it a conspiracy or not. The Patriots are going to the Super Bowl, and with those other allegations from previous games, it seems awfully strange it all happens now, a perfect distraction. And as others have stated the refs touching the balls in all of those games - where were they?

This thing still stinks, but the Patriots have become scapegoats anyways so other teams can laugh and do whatever it is they do. Again, not saying two wrongs make a right, but until Brady & Belichick are gone and the Pats disappear into obscurity and rebuilding, they will be targeted.

But of course I'm just a homer fan and delusional, and nothing smells at all except for the balls.

Just heard a Raven say probably the only truth, the losing team (Colts) trying to make excuses for losing.

Good for you Raven player!

I hope this lights a fire under the patriots ass so hot,,,they can actually win the superbowl

What ticked me off after Brady's conference was on ESPN with Bettis and Brunell. They said Belichick and Brady had a chance to put this to bed and they didn't. As far as I'm concerned, that sort of comment is accusing them both of being directly guilty, like they were expecting them to raise their hands and said I did it. The NFL report hasn't even come out yet. And tonight they interviewed an ex Pro Bowl center on the NFL network. They asked him if he, a center who handles the ball all the time and putting pressure on it, would notice 2 lbs being missing. He said no way.

Bettis and Brunell are probably butt-hurt for being beaten so many times by the Patriots.
