As a Falcons fan I feel for Pats fans on the loss of Edelman. It kind of reminds me of last year when the Falcons lost Trufant who was our best defender. I can honestly say Edelman was the one guy that made me nervous the most on the Pats offense. I really didn't want to see him because unless Trufant covered him, he would beat the rest of our corners who are more geared toward defending bigger, taller and faster guys on the outside. Hopefully my boy Mitchell can step up for them.

Really shows how stupid and greedy the NFL is for having a preseason. If I were Edelman I'd be pissed.

Juppiter, preseason is not going anywhere. Preseason happens in all sports so make no mistake about it. I know players don't like it and certainly it doesn't mean anything to me but the coaches like it.

Terrible news. I'm sad that Edelman is out for the season.

Non contact injury, could have happened just as easily in practice

Could have happened first snap Week 1 without preseason. Heck, Brady got rolled into by Bernard Pollard just a few snaps into the 2008 season...it happens.

I hate seeing injuries and feel bad for Pats fans. But one good thing for Pats fans is that their team is the most fitted to handle this. Other receivers like Chris Hogan, Malcolm Mitchell, Amendola, Cooks, etc. will step up...as well as Gronk. Plus Pats have RBs who can be effective in the passing game like White and Burkhead.

I really think Hogan gonna be the MVP out of the WRs this year. I was really impressed with him especially in certain games like the AFC champ game last season.

Yeah I'm with you on Hogan, I think he is going to be HUGE this season....doesn't hurt that he will likely never see double coverage as long as Gronk and Cooks are on the field...

Yeah I really liked him on the field...and how the Pats didn't pay top dollar for him and he very effective...and he always gets separation and can catch. Perfect for a QB like Brady especially since he will likely not be double covered. Brady has some good weapons this year. I will miss seeing Blount with Pats this year....he contributed well last season and others...especially during regular seasons. He got those tough yards and hard to bring down but I guess Belichek wanted to move on especially since he doesn't add to passing game.

I can Switzer playing like him for my Boys. Would like to see a Pats/Steelers vs Boys SB this year or at least next.
