The first person I thought of when it was revealed that Brady had ACL and MCL tears was Culpepper. That's a scary thought!

Matty is looking more and more comfy every week, and the D has seemed to pick up it's speed. The youth that has been put in place is showing up on the defensive side, which is allowing a pass rush........finally!!! Thank-You Miami for taking care of the Bills, now the Pats can share the East lead. GO PATS!!!!!

I think that if the titans win tonight, they are the team to beat in the AFC. I think that the patriots should draft a QB this draft. unless they have a young guy they are grooming.

I agree that at 7-0, the Titans would be the team to beat. The AFC wild card race is going to be very interesting. Several 9-7 and 10-6 teams battling it out. Only the South is looking like it's locked up and it's still early.

The Pats offense looks OK. Cassel does look a little more relaxed each week. Injuries are killing them. They need a consistent running game for Cassel to succeed as the weeks go on. They've got a pretty tough stretch coming up (@Indy, Buffalo, NYJ, @Mia, Pitt). 3-2 in that stretch would be nice but difficult. Their secondary still gives up too many big plays.

The Pats are playing well, with the exception of them shooting themselves in the foot from time to time. In a world of woulda-shoulda-coulda, they are 8-2 right now. Too bad we don't live in that world! For all they have gone through this season, the Pats have done a great job, and I believe they will still win their division. As far as going to the BIG ONE, well I don't know if I can go that far, but hopefully they can! GO PATS!!!

I agree! With all the injuries they've had, they're doing damn well.

I hate using the injury excuse but I think it is fair for this year's Pats.

Injured Reserve
Tom Brady
Laurence Maroney
Adelius Thomas
Rodney Harrsion

Other Injuries (missed at least 1 game)
Sammy Morris
Lamont Jordan
Ty Warren
Ben Watson

Throw in a quarterback that hadn't started since HS and I think this team is performing admirally. They "could've" won the games against the Colts (Catch the ball Jabar) and Jets (3rd and 15 in OT!).

If they can beat Miami (in MIA) this weekend, I'll be a little more optimistic about their play-off chances. They still have games against Seattle and Oakland as well.

wonder what will happen at QB next year. cassell is young, and brady will be coming off a huge injury. cassell is a free agent who will be worth a lot of money. do they want to lose him, or pay him a lot of money to sit on the bench?

Cassell signs with the Lions next year.

The Pats could potentially put the franchise tag on him if they have concerns with Brady's rehab. They probably won't want to pay him the money he can on the open market to be a back up. I'm rooting for him. I hope he gets a good contract somewhere else. He's proved a heck of a lot of people wrong. (myself included.)
