Falcons fan here! I would just like to thank the Pats for grooming our 2009 Executive Of The Year, for us...Ole "Shaggy" has brought the Falcons from the bowels of hell, to a contender in one season.
I'll be in Foxboro for the Falcons @ Pats game this September.
Sure its been said here (didnt read the entire thread), but you guys could have got much more for Cassel than you did. I wonder why you guys "pulled the trigger" so early on the trade...going away gift for Peoli?
Must be nice being a Pats fan though, all those Lombardi Trophys, and such.
I can tell yall love em, cause I'm trying to buy some tickets, and OMG!
Good luck this year (except when you play us).
Whats the latest on Brady's knee? Who's gonna be yall backup QB?

Dimitroff is a very smart guy and he knows the right way to build. He should have you guys in the running for years to come.

The Cassell trade is what it is. People have said AFTER the fact that the Patriots could have gotten a Denver 1st rounder, but that offer wasnt made to Coach Belichick in time. To be honest I dont think he would have wanted to pick that high in the 1st round anyway. He had to make changes so we would have some cap room to sign players like Fred Taylor etc in free agency. Having 25% of your cap tied up in 2 QB's is not a good fit. As far as Cassell goes, we drafted him with a 7th round pick and traded him for a 2nd. Thats a pretty good turn around if you ask me.

Brady is rehabbing well and I know coach B wouldnt have pulled the trigger if he had doubts. Kevin O'Connell is Brady's back up and we might see last years preseason favorite to be 2nd QB Matt Gutierez back in camp this year also. I see them signing a vet to fill the gap also.

Brady practiced at the OTA with no restricted movement and looked pretty good. Cant wait to see what he looks like when the bullets start flying in live action.

The defense is the question mark for this team and I trust Bill B will have it together by the start of the season.

Anything less than a playoff run would be unacceptable.

Pats have made some shrewd pick ups this off season and are poised to have a very good team. Just how that translates to on the field is a wait and see thing, but they have talent and depth.

I agree. This is a very intriguing season with Brady's return, an offense that is more potent (on paper) than the '07 team, some young defensive players coming into their own...

Now, if the Sox don't break our hearts down the stretch it will be a fun September and October.

They won't beat anyone in the SB, because they won't be in it!
