Worked fine having both Edelman and Amendola on the team and often on the field at the same time

Julian has also only made it through 16 games twice in his career, Edelman insurance would be nice to have...Tate has been significantly more durable through his career.

I hear that stance quite a bit but a lot these massage parlors are staffed by people from various Asian countries who are being trafficked and forced to work against their will. hopefully this thread can return to "football only"

On to next season...

This draft could shape up nicely for the Patriots as 3 of the biggest areas of need are also the deepest areas of talent in the draft...defensive line....WR.....TE

With the Pats having so many picks they could really move around the board and pick up some big time players.

I have a kid at Clemson and go to quite a few games, would love to see a couple of the Tigers on the Pats specifically Dexter Lawrence or Christian Wilkins and the quintessential Pats future slot WR....Hunter Renfrow...

There are also a handful of really good TE's and even if Gronk comes back for another season (starting to think this may be possible) we really need to get a good young TE. Was hoping Hollister could contribute but he had his opportunity last season and just couldn't stay on the field...

Drafting WR's is not a Belichick specialty but there a bunch of really good outside the numbers guys we could use in addition to another slot WR like Renfrow..

Finally, how about Josh Rosen as our developmental QB???

If the Cards are serious about drafting Murray the compensation to get Rosen will plummet and the Pats could get their future QB, a legit 1st rounder, still under contract for the next 4 seasons for maybe a 3rd rounder???

That would be a coup.....

I could definitely see the Patriots being willing to give a 3rd rounder to the Cardinals to get Rosen as their QB of the future. If that is the price, then they should pull the trigger. I expect that if the Cardinals do decide to draft Murray and trade Rosen, that someone will end up offering more than just a 3rd round pick, though.

Unless a bidding war breaks out there would be no reason to offer more....

If the Cards draft Murray they have zero leverage....everyone will know they need to move on from Rosen, they will be at an extreme disadvantage in any trade negotiations.

Liking the Bennett pick up....great protection if (when) we lose Flowers.....

Bennett older but still more effective than Flowers at rushing the passer, could lead to another brother reunion next season if we take Martellus back as well.

The NFL Channel is reporting that TE Rob Gronkowski has decided to retire.

His stats are 521 receptions for 7861 yards and 79 touchdowns. 4 time first team all-pro, 5 time pro bowler.
