"Sour grapes" has nothing to do with the fact that the Jets would fake an "injury" to slow down the Pats' momentum. It was right there in front of our faces. Like someone said, even the commentators made mention of it. The Pats had one guy down the whole game and we were charged with a timeout and the Jets weren't charged with one the numerous times they faked it. So how is fact being "sour grapes"? Aren't the Pats fans allowed to bemoan our team's lose?

tamiznluv, as I said in another thread, slowing down the game takes many shapes and forms.....

Slowing down because of a questionable injury..(who knows, he could've been hurt) happens..

Its no different than a defensive player who is slow to get off an offensive player after he makes a tackle (when the offense is driving..)

Bottom line, you can't prove it was fake so its a moot point.

I just am disapointed in that fact that I don't get to see a Rogers verus Brady shootout in the super bowl now. That lookig at the season would have been the best game possible.

I don't live anywhere near either of these places, so I don't have a real stake in this- but poor coaching? Sure the Pats haven't won a super bowl since 2004, but geez- you have to admit they probably have the best coaching in the league. They are a great team, they are able to do amazing things with players that are not always the most talented.
The Pats came out flat last night, the Jets came out hot and we know the outcome. The Jets will get stomped this week by Pittsburgh.

Bellicheck made a HUGE mistake calling for a fake punt in the 2nd Quarter. That was bad coaching.

The patriots were not "flat". How can you be "flat" for a home playoff game...that makes absolutely NO sense..... Calling them flat is just an excuse.....That's like saying the Ravens were "flat" in the 3rd quarter of their game..... again, nonsense.

The Jets executed better and had a better game plan than the Patriots.....plain and simple the Jets beat them. It happens sometimes...look at the Giants Pats superbowl a couple years ago...what, were the Pats "flat" there too???

The call for the fake was made by Chung.......definitely changed the game..........oh well!

What? It was a great call..Play was perfect..was not executed! The hole was as big as a canyon. Its always easy to have 20/20 hindsight!!!!...geez. PS glad the Pats went down..but I hate Pittsburgh and hate to say it but N.E. had a better chance of beating those guys. We'll see. Pats fan, don't lament over that call...it was a perfect spot to do it. Also agree with the statemwent the Pats were not flat..they were outplayed..especially on the line of scrimmage. That was actually a pasting yesterday, not as close as the score indicated.

Ok, he is still part of Belicheck's staff so it was poor coaching....
