All true, except the dark cloud in that silver lining is that Andre Carter is gone, maybe for good. The no name defense didn't need to take one more major hit. Let's hope Anderson or some as yet to be named alternative steps up and fills in where Carter left off. Let's also hope that the secondary gets healthy and Spikes comes back. It was obvious that Matt Slater is not that good as a DB.

We squished the fish and beat Buffalo. #1 seed now. Only the '03 Pats went on to win the SB from that position though.

Excellent job Patriots! Let's go all the way!!

Well, the defense is not good, but is it "good enough"? They are very bad when measured by yards but not so bad on points allowed and good on turnovers. I'd rather have a superior offense and average defense than the reverse. Baltimore won 10 years ago with a great defense and mediocre offense, but that is rare...

The defense question! All season Pats and Pack either 31 or 32 and all the conversation about their defenses! I really don't think all the focus on yards only is a true picture on either of these teams. The Pack are ball hawks way ahead in INT compared to other teams, talk about yards but not all the interceptions!

Good luck in the playoffs, and a SB with Tom and Aaron would be a fun time! I was always saying a repeat with the Pack and Steelers but a shoot out would be fun!

Agreed. To me, New Orleans is your most significant competitor. For us, it is Baltimore...

Ugghh the Ravens. That playoff game with them in '10 still hurts a bit. It was over in the 2nd quarter! I do believe the Pats will be seeing them again this year, and they will need to keep Ray Rice in check. I have faith in Big Vince to sure up the D-line and keep things from getting out of hand this year. GO PATS!!!!!!!!!!!

Can the Pats defensive backfield keep Tebow in check.......guess we will have to wait and see. Seemed to air it out quite a bit against the Steelers. Was surprised that Pittsburgh did not make much of a defensive adjustment during that game.

Don't know about a blowout. Think it'll be pretty close the 1st half, then the Pats make an adjustment and maintain the lead. Maybe a 10-14 point victory.
