I think Brett Favre is great too. It'll be a sad day when he hangs up the cleats but I suppose comfort can come from knowing that it won't be long before a bust of him is sitting in Canton.

I've actually always loved football and am more into it than my husband. I guess growing up 30 miles south of Lambeau Field helped with that! We used to go up to the stadium all the time, I've met quite a few Packer players, and even have a piece of turf from Lambeau Field when they sold it! My hubby was NEVER at a Redskins game until the first year I moved down here and I got him tickets for Christmas! He was like a kid in a candy store...lol

I told him that the Packer thing is just in my blood....actually he's called me a freak before watching the game because in the first quarter I'm already going crazy! LOL I've taken him to a few games up at Lambeau with me, and he's always had fun. I plan to go to another Redskin game with him...just dont know when. I was hoping the Packers would play in DC but we'll hopefully go to one next year.

Who does your wife cheer for?

My wife is not into football as much as you or me, but being a North Carolinian, she roots for the 'Skins and Colts too since we live in Indy. She's more into College basketball (HUGE UNC Tar Heels fan), acts like you described above! LOL

The Carolina Panthers were not around until 1996, so growing up anywhere from DC metro down to North and South Carolinas was all Redskins Country especially because of Joe Gibbs, he's from the Carolinas and highly respected. We both have a soft spot for the Panthers too!! I know...I know..... We root for too many teams, what can I say, we've moved too many times. So in short, at our house, it's : 'Skins, Colts/Panthers.

Nah, I've never been before but I'd love to go some day. All that history and all the legends of the game condensed into one building. It must be awe inspiring.

(Btw thanks to whoever repped me. You didn't leave a name so I couldn't reply via PM so thankyou anyway. )

Sorry not a fan of Farve at all. He is just not one of my faves. I think he is selfish and all about going after these records or whatever. His desicion making was terrible last year with all of the interceptions. On half the passes I was thinking who is he throwing to.....someone in Pittsburgh. Anyway I cant wait until he retires. The person that is suffering the most is Aaron Rodgers. By the time the guy gets a chance to play he will be 50. Sorry...I'm over Brett Farve and have been for some years now.

I don't mind Favre so much as it has more to do with the media's constant butt-smooching of the guy. Enough is enough. I undertsand right at this moment there should be some extra publicity, but week-in and week-out in recent years: it was simply nauseating when there were more important football stories.
