If you missed this, the USFL is restarting in 2013. The league will have 8 teams and play a 14 game schedule in the spring.

An article I wrote with more info about the league:

I used to go to the LA Express games at the Mammoth Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The attendance was probably about 5000 people or so which, in a stadium of that size, looks like the cleaning crew. Steve Young and Jim Kelly were the league's stars then.

As long as they don't do the stupid nicknames and all the gimmicks the moronic XFL did I might give it a watch or two.

The original USFL failed because of a few flaws but mainly because of Donald Trump. Trump wanted to move to the spring and basically forced all the other owners to agree. This was dumb beyond belief. He did that only to support his law suit against the NFL which they WON by the way, but was awarded only $1. That doesn't mean that the new USFL could succeed but they will not be following the OLD USFL blueprint like overpaying for Top College stars and directly competing with the NFL. They will use NFL wannabes and will give the NFL access to their players... plus they will REMAIN in the spring..

This would work well but I want to watch football during the off season.
