Whoa.... You guys are naming all I had on my mental list. For groups, there was the Bronco's Orange Crush -- the defense of Red Miller's era, and the Three Amigos of the mid-late 80s -- Vance Johnson, Mark Jackson and Ricky Nattiel.

The Boz. I bought a t-shirt once making fun of him. Then I discovered he was the one making money off of them.

I don't recall two of the all-time greats, Dick Butkus and Jack Lambert, ever having nicknames (or at least any that were used on-air).
