He's blowing hot air because we'd have a hard time fielding a football team because so many would fail the olympic drug tests.

Could you imagine. At least the other "professional" sports that are in the Olympics can have an All-Star Game and can have full pre-season and off-season scrimmage matches. Football on the other hand can't even stage a proper All-Star game. Now they're going to take these players to the Olympics right when Training Camp would be set to open and have them exert themselves by playing full contact Football? I think not!

There's no possible way that any NFL or NCAA team would allow their players to participate in the Olympics and risk injury. It would never happen.

With the overall majority of the world not even having American Football in their countries, I think the top Division 1 players in college football would be enough to win the gold every year. This sport would overwhelmingly favor the US so much competitively that we would not need to send any NFL players to the Olympics.
