You know what's really annoying? Refs using instant replay to make an increasing number of situations. The coach's challenge is downright asinine. Either train these refs properly, and make the teams suck up the refs' decisions like adults, or get rid of them altogether and make it a big ol' free for all.
Hey ... that was kinda fun. Wonder what else I can come up with ...
1. It's 3rd and 11, your team really needs a first down and when the QB of your team goes to step back and throw, he only throws a 5 yd pass because he doesn't want to get hit and then the receiver has to go 7 more yds for the 1st down and gets tackled and then your team has to punt.
The defense knows the offense has to get 11 yards too. What fun would it be if every team has a 100% 3rd-down conversion rate?

It sucks when your team commits a penalty you don't agree with.
The flag has more to do with the crooked ref than the player doing something wrong.
Not sure how the ref is "crooked" by making a late call.
It seems you didn't question whether the penalty was committed, you're upset that it wasn't called immediately?
Either way, how is your team "hurt" by it? I'd rather have a late call that's correct than a timely bad call.

Usually when a call is late in that situation that means that the ref looked to see if the ball was caught and if it wasn't then he would bail the team out by throwing a flag. And yes if my team is on defense and I think they got a stop on 3rd and 13 and then see a yellow flag, it's very upsetting because it's obvious the ref wanted to keep the other team's drive alive.

Don't forget Number 3
3. A defensive player on your team makes a tackle on 2nd down and gets up celebrating. Then on 3rd down your team defense gets burnt for a long pass and gets the 1st down
In addition to this observation, which is obvious, the other annoyance is elongated instant replay reviews from the booth review. I wouldn't be surprised if in a few years, a booth review is not sponsored by Budweiser, or Home Depot.
NFL has become borderline unwatchable as a result of too many commercials. But then again, so too is the case with sports radio.
