Glad they got this all figured out, but it still sucks for the Packers. They had to be the sacrificial lambs to get things moving. Everybody is happy the refs are back, but the Pack still got the loss.

It might balance out all the games they've won from "friendly" officials. Believe me, as a Vikings fan I've seen it for 30+ years the calls go their way. ESPECIALLY after Brett Favre became a national star in the league.

But I agree, I'm glad that things are getting back to normal.

Apparently on the very last play before the Raiders kicked a game winning field goal, there was a chop block by the Raiders offensive line that wasn't called. So bad, that the Steelers player who got chop blocked was injured on the play (which is why its a penalty in the first place, chop blocks lead to injuries). that's a 15 yard penalty, but it wasn't called.

That would've turned Janikowski's game winning 43 yard field goal into a 58 yard field goal. I know Sebastian has a good leg, but even for him, 58 yards ain't no chip shot.

Just more BS that is coming to light...
The difference is, you don't hear Steelers players or fans crying about it. You just hear the players acknowledging that they didn't play well enough to win, and the fans criticizing the defense for not stopping the Raiders offense at all in the second half of the game. Besides, even if a 15-yard penalty was assessed on the Raiders, Sebastian Janikowski holds the record for the longest FG in NFL history, so 58 yards is doable for him. Furthermore, I can't recall the last time he's ever screwed up a game-winning FG attempt either, regardless of the distance.

Did anyone notice how smooth the game ran last night? No delays, nice steady flow. No red flags (as far as I remember). No coaches going ape sh** because of some rediculous decision (or lack there of).

EVERY game I watched with the replacement had major flaws.

Honestly, I'd settle for just keeping the game under control. I watched the Eagles/Ravens game and that was ugly in terms of tussles breaking out and the replacements were no help in controlling it.

Time to move on, a very good thing. News from the Packers says they are looking inward at themselves instead of outward and hopefully the fans on Sunday will do the same.

they should - first and foremost there was a full game that happened before the final play, which seems to be forgotten

next, it wasn't the worst call in the world and all the talk about "catching the defender" and that type of stuff is just false

http://www.coldhardfootballfacts.com...s-legit/17706/

it's not even the worse call in packers history that went against them (unless you think a playoff game in SF is less important than a game in week 3

it's far from being the worst call that happened in a seahawks game (there are many, but you couldn't even debate the vinny TD call)

finally - there is nothing that will change the outcome and there are things that can improve on .... the packers OL comments about just taking a knee would probably be an improvement over any pass blocking they've shown this year

Look at these regular refs. They can't even make a decision on a simple muffed punt. And Ed "Guns" Hochile cannot even read the penalties properly.

I would take those replacements back anyday.
