Ok, here it is--College ball w/ Vanderbilt, Bronco career, Bear career, etcetera. It all goes down on this thread.

I'm not going to "sticky" this though. One thread per individual-that's it. And the Terms of service of this message board applies.

He did an hour long interview today on AM 1000, the local espn radio station. He doesn't run from who he is. He said he shouldnt have shoved Webb, but didnt really apologize. He's just another of a long list of athletes that isn't someone I'd want to hang around with, but has a ton of talent. He reminds me a little of the white sox catcher AJ pierzynski, who is despised by his piers but produces on the field. If cutler ever gets this city a super bowl, he gets a pass for life.

Cutler might have had a legit gripe against his o-line, but I'm sayin' that unless his play was otherwise stellar, he has no real reason to open his mouth. He's paid to do more than just throw the ball accurately; he's also hired to run the offense and be the team leader. It's not like Cutler didn't make mistakes either. I saw the game - Cutler held onto the ball and repeatedly failed to sniff the blitz or when linemen were closing in on him. Part of it might be on the coaching staff too, and on the receivers for not getting open.

When Chicago brought Cutler to town they knew they were getting a talented guy, but they were also getting a guy with baggage. Cutler might not run from who he is, but the cold, hard truth is, who he is hasn't been without its liabilities - both for himself personally and for his teammates. He hasn't won a conference championship yet, and his first season was a waste. This one could be, too. Until Cutler at least gets his team to a Super Bowl - which Rex Grossman and Kyle Orton did collectively - then the decision to acquire Cutler will probably be regarded as a bust. Shoving the guys who protect you ain't a way to encourage team building.

Cutler can best be described through my favorite MLB quote: In the mid 80s, the young Darryl Strawberry asked the vet Kerith Hernandez what the meaning of someone saying he has great potential was. Hernandez replied: "It means you haven't done it yet". In a nutshell, that is Cutler. Will he ever develop is the $64,000 question.

Get over it, the number of games won has nothing to do with it and everyone knows the Packers were robbed last night. Cutler is not even close to Aaron Rodgers.

Cutler doesn't have it - whatever that intangible is - he lacks it. Criticizing fellow players is an indication of that. In AZ we were blessed to have Kurt Warner, who HAD IT. No, not the strongest arm in the league, not the fasted out of the pocket - he had CHARACTER, something that is WITHIN. That intangible is what almost brought us a championship. I remember McMahon when I was in Chicago - same thing, only Jim wasn't exactly the same type of personality as Kurt. I had doubts about our QB, Kevin Kolb, but he is showing a lot of character lately. Kevin was getting his ass sacked left and right in the pre-season, but never criticized his linemen. You just don't do that.
