Redskins is the N word to Native Americans. Chiefs and Blackhawks are not.

That's actually not true. Many Native Americans have stated that they are not offended by Redskins, but are offended that a team uses the mascot of "Chiefs" as that is a very sacred title bestowed to a leader of a tribe - something that is not easily earned or given.

Not to all Native American it is not. The Red Mesa Az high school team on the Navajo Indian Reservation that has the same name and they are proud of using it.
This protest seems to be coming from some obscure tribe who needs their name on the map, most like to gain attention so they can build a casino or something.

... and only recently. The Redskins have been around for what? 80 years?

What's funny is if a white person uses the N word towards a black person.... it's offensive. But blacks using the N word towards other blacks is OK.

You know what... I'm white.. and I find saltine crackers offensive.

The more I think about it.. And as more time passes, I think more and more that the majority of folks who are offended by the word "Redskins" are white and they suffer from what I call "white guilt"... White folks feeling guilty about their history in this country especially regarding to what they did to native americans over the last 300+ years, so now they're overcompensating for it.

I don't mean to offend anyone, it's just my literal opinion.

It's really NOT OK for anyone to use it in any sense and not every black person is fine with using the word.

But hey, you need something to support your argument, right?
