Do you also feel if the name Giants is offensive to tall/over weight people it should be banned?

Banned? Who said about banning anything. If tall/overweight people equate it to a RACIAL SLUR (which I doubt they do), then perhaps it might be a good idea to have your business name not offend. New York Fatties probably won't fly ... but, hey, I'm not fat so I don't care, right?

Do you think New Jersey Zipperheads is an appropriate name for a sports franchise? How about Georgia Guidos? Washington Whities? Pittsburgh Paleface?

Fighting Irish isnt the same thing. The Irish equivalent to Washington's name would be the M word, just as it would be the N word to African Americans.
At any rate, my teams are the Broncos and Colts, and the horses I know are not offended, so....

Redskin is equivalent to the M word? and the N word to African Americans?....LMAO......you are stretching this by 1 thousand miles......go learn the history of Redskin and the majority of Native Americans aren't offended so why should you?

how do you know the horses are not offended? it could animal exploitation for some liberal groups......it offends a small minority....isn't this what this is all about, being political correct and not offend anyone.

don't know but when you own a team you can name it as you like.

Redskin is an honor to the native american warriors who painted their skin RED before battle.........how is that a racial slur

Is the term GREEN BERETS a racial slur also?.....LOL

Well, now that you mention it, I had a (ex) brother in law years ago who is Chippewa. I asked him if the name offended him and his response was "I don't give a &$@ what they call them".
Now, I've personally asked horses I know if Colts and Broncos offends them. They just looked at me and went back to eating....

if they honor my ancestors with Redskin or greenskin or whatever color they painted their bodies before battle that would be an honor to me not an insult.
