The last handful of season have only had 1 week with a Saturday night game, usually week 15 or 16, with the exception of 2 years ago when Christmas fell on a Sunday and all the games were moved to Saturday the 24th. Looking ahead this season, even after the bye weeks are over, there are a lot of Sundays with only two or three 4pm games. But this is the only weekend where all 4pm games are on just one network.
Even if it's 2 or 3 and they are on different networks that is fine. It's a lot better than all the games on one network.

But the NFL always scores higher than baseball so that was a crazy decision.

Just looked down the schedule - you have plenty of time to be PO'ed.

Next week 10/28 - two 4pm games - Oak/KC, NYG/Dal (FOX nat'l game)

11/18 late games - NO/Oak, SD/Den

Three late games on 11/4, 11/11, 11/25, 12/9, 12/23

Can anyone remember a time when there has only been 2 games at 4pm? Well this is a result of 6 teams having a bye and 2 teams playing on Thursday Night. This is a horrible schedule for fans who love watching football on sundays. This is why I hate Roger Goddell because there should never be six teams having a bye on the same weekend. And don't even get me started on the Thursday games. This clown is ruining football on sunday and I guess it won't be no 4pm games in another 5 years. Horrible.
Ruining football? How is this ruining football? You're also making the assumption that Goddell had anything to do with this. He is likely not very involved in the schedule and the owners have a lot of say in what happens is well.

I fail to see why this is a big deal. Only one of the networks has a double header each week and you can only watch one game at a time so why does it matter?

Right. Same with the end of the regular season. otherwise the NFL would be prohibited from showing games on Saturday.

Because part of the appeal of football was that it wasn't on that often. That's why years ago I woke up so excited and was hungry for Football because it was on only once or twice a week.
