so it's all one big conspiracy then? those bad coaches. OK.

you must be one of those football fans that see Tebow throw 6 checkdowns against a soft prevent defense and their field goal kicker kick the game winner and then spill your beverage all over the carpet at how great "touchdown jesus" is.

!?!?!?!

I have no idea who this is towards and what it's about - what conspiracy? - about what?

Also not sure why Tebow needs to get brought into almost any NFL related topic

Not if Wilson continues his ways...needs to do better on the road though.

I'm wondering if he doesn't get traded away this spring or is that not a possibility?

I was critical of Wilson early on, but he's been playing pretty well lately.

Doesn't hurt that he's got a helluva defense.

If only his WRs could catch on a consistent basis.

You'll hear many coaches & players talk about quaters to a season.

In Wilsons 1st quarter his stat line was as follows - 60 of 100 (60%) for 594 with 4 TDs and 4 Ints

In his 2nd quarter of the season the line is as follows - 69 of 110 (63%) for 872 with 6 TDs and 4 Ints

So there has definitely been progress - especially when you factor in that in the 2nd quadrant of games it featured 3 road contest including at the best defense in the league (SF) on a short week

His yearly stats will drag on the early games - but if you look for progressions you'll certainly see them
Figured I would update this with the next "quarter" of the season - 2 home games (MN & NYJ) and 2 road games (Mia & Chicago)

72 of 107 (67%) for 878 yards with 9 TDs and 0 Ints

All 3 games were over 100 in rating - including a string where he became the 1st rookie to string together 3 games with a rating over 125

He also had 170 yards rushing over this period vs 80 in the 1st quarter and 48 in the 2nd quarter

He has his team at 7-5 and is continuing to make strong progress - that win yesterday was largely on his shoulders

I don't know if there is too much more progression to be had in the next 4 as far as stat line, in fact the raw numbers may regress a little - however I expect to see him gain more and more trust to assert himself throughout the game ........ the coaching staff is very deliberate in their approach and he's definitely earned some more freedom - the game is slowing down a little bit for him now

Damn, that's pretty impressive.

It sucks that his name will be buried under the RG3/Luck debate, because Russell is putting together one helluva season.

Thhis could be one of the best QB classes of the next 10-15 years. Even Tannehill is coming along, albeit slowly. He's not exactly surrounded by talent down there in Miami.

yeah - there was a pretty good article on ESPN (blech, can't believe I strung together the words "good" and "espn") that talked about this draft class

a lot of potential there ....... 3/4 a season doesn't a career make - there will be adjustments, injuries and a whole slew of other things .... but none of the 5 guys to start the season have embarassed themselves by any stretch

I'm going to keep an eye on Miami, they have surprised teams this year and Philbin is a great coach. I think Packers are missing him big time in some ways. Aaron Rodgers says he talks to Philbin on a regular basis.
