The Chargers defense gave up a 1st down on 4th and 29 late in the game. And then Ray Rice had to run about 13 yds to even get the 1st down which sent the game into OT and the Ravens win on a FG.

How does a Defensive Coordinator remain employed after that?

I think they will just wait until its time to remove all of the coaches.

I'm pretty sure when you have sucky players it doesn't matter what the coaches do.

I;m sorry that falls directly on the defensive coordinator. If he knows the Ravens need a first down on 4th and 29 he has to come up with a scheme to prevent them from getting the 1st down

There were several missed tackles on the play. I cannot believe they converted that, especially when he was a dump pass because the San Diego secondary covered the Baltimore receivers so well on the play.

They always try and prevent a first down. The entire game. I actually think the defense was good. They covered anything deep. But then no player could actually make a play.

Yes a 4 yd catch that was turned into a 25 yd gain which led to the 1st down

They held the Ravens to 16 pts in 5 quarters. One bad play is not going to blow up the coaching staff.

Any Defense giving up a first down on 4th and 29 is unacceptable. That is just something you can't do

If anyone is fired in San Diego, it won't be because of one play. They haven't played up to their potential for quite some time.
