Other notes from last night...

Stat from morning radio - Schaub QB rating from 5 prime time night games this year - 65.5. That's a problem.

-------------------------

The dean of the franchise, Andre Johnson, saying that this is the biggest game. The thing about that statement is some people can handle it, and some people get tight. He had 8 catches for 95 yds. and I don't remember any drops. That tells me he can handle high profile games. However, others seem to press and tighten up - Schaub, Kareem Jackson, offensive line.

My point is that the BIG statements like that need to come from the coach - and Kubiak should be setting the mood for the game. The game was too heavy for them (collectively) last night. They bought the varsity jackets - why now?

----------------------

Kubiak should have taken FG opportunities instead of going for it on 4th down. I know they were down early - but you put points on the board - that's what they normally would have done. The early pressure from the Pats hit hard and dazed everyone like a wounded boxer - coaches, players, probably the Texans' fans also.

Good points! One more game, just another game, focused but not too intense. Texans have to learn from this, a better game plan for teams that can play fast, no huddle put points up quick.

Yes but the Texans don't have any challenging games left

I would argue the Colts pose a challenge, with a 9-4 record, and there's a very good chance this is a home-home split.

Yeah but not enough for them to lose 2 games and finish 12-4.

Texans have to play against the 9-4 Colts twice and Adrian Peterson.

This is the NFL and anyone can be beaten on any particular day.

Was Jax supposed to be challenging? They are 2-11. They took them to OT.

As much as I would love to see the Pats get HFA I don't think it's enough games left and they will just have to settle for the 2 seed.
