NFL players who have been arrested in 2012

I found this list. Many of the arrests involve drinking. This is 37 players just from the last offseason.
We know now that many times erratic behavior is also a result of the long term results of hard hits on the players.
But 37 players? Does the NFL have a drinking problem? Do you possibly think so????
do you think this is new? Celebrities are not known for being holier than thou. There is just more reporting of this than years ago...

No, of course its not new. Not only being reported, but the internet makes it easier than ever to find this stuff.
Google nfl players in trouble, and bingo! There it is.
Please note, I am not excusing it in the least.
But I can understand it. The season is rough. Even during the off season, they have to be prepping for the next one. All that money, all that fame, whee! I am someone special.
Its too bad we as a nation use drugs and alcohol as an escape.
They are role models for our young people.

It is not for me to judge or tell anyone how to manage their lives...........but some of these players really won the lottery when they made it to the NFL draft.

The number one thing that should be drilled into their heads is PROTECT THE MONEY (again my opinion).

The amount of NFL players that are now bankrupt, paying multiple child support, have had gun charges on them, drunk driving records with some resulting in manslaughter charges also is staggering.

Again my opinion, but somehow the NFL needs to protect these guys from themselves. Where the hell are their agents? Are they only in it for the present? You would think these players seeing the better than 50% of former NFL players broke would do more to protect their lively hood.

These guys have have the luxury of limo's, personal assistants etc.

Jacksonville's own Mark Brunell filed for 50mil in bankruptcy.
