Do you think Texas would do well with another team? I ask this because I notice that Texas with a population of 26,059,203 has 2 NFL teams. And even if it got another one, where would it go? Would it be healthy for the other two teams or would all three falter a bit? Here is how it compares to other states:
New York with a population of 19,570,261 has 3 teams.
Florida with a population of 19,317,568 has 3 teams.
Pennsylvania with a population of 12,763,536 has 2 teams.
Ohio with a population of 11,544,225 has 2 teams.
Missouri with a population 6,021,988 has 2 teams.
San Antonio would be the best spot. Austin seems to be in their own la la world with their college sports. I guess they still think themselves a small college town.
A Team in SA would draw fans from SA, Central Texas, The Rio Grande Valley and West Texas.
SA is far enough from Houston and DFW to not be of any competition for markets

Also this is not just about population it's about income. Does San Antonio have enough upper income people to support 50,000 to 60,000 people for seasons tickets?

Can't speak for Dallas, but doubt Houston would care.
as for Income, I am pretty sure the ticket situation would be on par with Jacksonville
No city actually needs a sports team. The question should be, "Can Texas get another team?"

Anyway, the only other city in this state that even has any kind of shot at an NFL team would be San Antonio. BUUUUUUUUUUUUT that's far off.... as in, "the San Antonio metro and Austin metro growing into each other" far off.

I know right. There has been so much to talk about this year. With all tge excitement aroung RG3 and luck, Peytons glorious comeback, the giants numerous meltdowns, san franciscos quarterback surplus, the jets with the opposite situation, seattles tale of two cities, the rams surprising games, etc etc
All of this to talk about and what do the comentators do, they spend half the time overhyping a rather boring team. I mean, wthey force stories where there is none. Dallas is losing, oh lets talk about that, oh they are winning now, lets talk abouf that.
