Because, as bad as Sanchez has been, he's still light years better than Tebow.

Because it looks like with the way his contract is written, and the salary cap hit that would be involved, the Jets will likely have to keep Sanchez next year too. So, may as well try to get him some confidence back, for the potential good of next years team.
We will agree to disagree. However I do agree about trading Sanchez. Would be extremely difficult because of his salary.

I would argue just the opposite.

If he was a black, atheist, from the University of California, all of the current Tebow slurpers would be dumping all over him.

While some seem to be willing to blindly defend him because he is a "Bible Beater." (a bit ironic/hypocritical maybe a bit of both).
Nobody is attacking him for that. In my opinion that's why I like Tebow he seems to be a decent role model, good personality, doesn't have that "gangsta/thug mentality" that some in the NFL have.

People are attacking his skills, and the fact that he only was successful while running a "college style offense" in the NFL, and once he faced decent opponent (The Patriots he failed miserably). Unless you are totally new to football, attacking someones talent/skills is nothing new.

Tebow will be judged the same way as everyone else.

no, he had it right.
Tebow is the only rookie QB to ever lead his team to the playoffs.
That is not "overrated" at all.

WHAT?!

Did you ever hear of Ben Roethlisberger? He did the exact same thing.

BAH GAWD! He got it.

Tebow draws way too much attention for doing very little on the field. No franchise in their right mind is going to bring in that media circus for what little production he has.

This post is 100% inaccurate.

#1 Tebow was a rookie in 2010, not 2011.
#2 As a rookie, Ben Roethlisberger led the Steelers to the AFC Championship Game in 2004.

Not to mention MARK SANCHEZ. (and Joe Flacco, and Shaun King, and Bernie Kosar, and Dan Marino, and Jim Everett, and Greg Cook, and Matt Ryan, and on and on.......)

Next thing we know, he'll be claiming that Tebow lead the 2006 Florida Gators to the National Championship.
