And whether the RG3 injury can be connected to the field or not, after the national media talking about what a crap field it is, Dan Snyder might pump some money into it this off-season and get a new surface.

How does the 2nd richest pro sports franchise in the United States have the worst field?
Simple, Fedex Field hold too many events throughout the year. You have college games, D.C. United games, draft parties, concerts and then Redskins games. All that take a toll on the field. Fedex Field has always been bad but since the Redskins was irrelevant for so long, no one took notice. No one said anything when the Redskins beat the Giants and Cowboys on that same field when everyone was watching. That field had nothing to do with RGIII injury. He wasn't 100% and he knew it.

I think you're rolling RFK events into one? I thought DC United played at RFK?

I just cannot fathom the Redskins playing RGIII when he's not up to snuff and thus endangering his entire career. That's just NUTS.

yeah, a bunch of people on the Redskins forum said there's a ton of concerts at fedex, and sometimes high school/college games too. they seemed to agree that the field sees way too much non-Redskins activity

D.C. United's home "pitch" is RFK. For matches involving Chelsea and AC Milan, you would want the extra capacity FedEx offers, but it's a one-off.

Doesn't change the fact that Fedex Field host too many events on that field during the year on grass.
