It's good to see the Seahawks brought back down to Earth. What's that, you're going to beat the Atlanta Falcons, a team that bested you by two more games during the regular season, yet were not favored against you?

It's good to see media darlings like you exposed.

Bye, Bye, Seahawks.

On to the 49ers, who will likely experience the same fate

Falcons: RISE UP!

I'm very glad the Falcons won. Seahawks were the most annoying team lately. Seemed like the entire nation came together & decided seahawks were somehow the best team in the NFL. What a joke. I stated in the nfc playoff thread that Falcons would win.
Seahawks would have lost last week if Griffin was even 75% healthy.

Good riddance fair weather Seattle fans!

So the Seahawks were exposed? Good thing Atlanta looked like the Patriots today in your dream world. The Falcons are a good team and so were the Seahawks, but I don't think Seattle was exposed, if it happened in Seattle maybe, maybe.

You think the Falcons haven't gotten any respect? Just wait for this week, it will be all 49ers as it should be.

Why should it be all 49ers?

Who had the better record in the regular season? You got beaten by the Seahawks. The Falcons beat the Seahawks, as they also beat the Broncos, Redskins, Cowboys, and Giants. Have the 49ers beaten a better crop of teams?

Next Week Falcons will handle the 49ers. Just wait and see.

I would not put Seattle and fair weather fans together. The Seahawks gets some of the best home support in the NFL and I believe they always sellout their home games. I saw a decent amount of Seattle fans in the crowd on TV today.

As far as Seattle being media darlings, I don't see it at all. They came into the playoffs on a hot streak, especially after beating the 49ers at home and winning 11 games. They went 7-1 in their last 8 games, not surprising so many people had them as strong contenders.

You have to admire their fight today. They very well could have won this game and have some great momentum to take into the 2013 season.

You saw the media focusing in on the few Seattle fans again to try to paint this picture as Atlanta not being into their teams. I can tell you with assurance that those few fans represented less than one percent of fans at today's game in the Georgia Dome. After all, would you see a sea of red shirts if there were a decent number of Seattle fans in the crowd?

Who cares?

The Falcons started the season at 8-0 and were given zero respect by anyone. The Falcons finished the season at 13-3 and beat every team they played (the Falcons three losses came against divisional opponents of whom they split the season series with).

Well, they lost. It was time for the media's infatuation for Seattle to end.

Speaking as an Atlanta fan (who lives in Seattle) I will say that I am pumped for the 2013 season in Seattle.

Russell Wilson earned my respect today. The man can flat out play.

CenturyLink is a great place to catch a football game... the fans here are just insane.

BTW... the Seahawks travel to Atlanta for a regular season game next year and I will most definitely be adding that week to my vacation calendar.

Sorry the 49ers aren't my team, actually I can't stand em but the 49ers will get all the play cause of their history and the NFL would want a Patriot / 49er Superbowl. If you want Atlanta to get some more respect then they need to at least get to the Superbowl.

The Eagles are my team and no I don't care about the lack of respect Philly gets, especially for its fans, if you want to shut everyone up there is only one way to do it, win the Superbowl. Until then the Patriots will be the gold standard and everyone else will fall in line accordingly.
