Atlanta is far and away the closest and its not close.

Seattle or Houston is second in line.

But the NFL is a year to year league. For instance, the Giants won the SB last year, and this year missed the post-season, with the same record. At the start of the season, I thought they were in the best position to defend their title of any of their previous Super Bowl teams.

Look at the Chargers. If Philip Rivers regains his form from 2 years ago, and they have a solid draft, I would argue they could emerge out of nowhere to compete next year.

Strange list, why not include Vikings, Eagles, Bengals and Bills??? You include other teams with SB appearances but didn't win. In my book, the way the Vikings came on late last year, they have a chance just like other teams. I think they will be the dark horse this year and Seattle will be tough. I'm thinking Seattle could be the one.

Looks like you took it right off Wikipedia but did not include those teams that went several times and didn't win. Classic being the Bills, 4 years in a row, no wins. Of course, Vikings, too, 4 times, no wins.

Thanks Susan.

I picked the Seahawks without thinking.

Now I'm leaning towards the Vikings.
