...the simplicity of the Colts logo is one of my favorites. I got a neat poster up in the sports room.
Very cool that you used a BALTIMORE Colts poster for an example.
It's still my favorite logo and uniform, in spite of their departure from here.
The Ravens' "profile" logo is OK, but would be better with the deletion of that obvious tacked-on afterthought letter "B" that was added to it. Not being able to properly mirror image for the left-side logo really makes it look lame.
i love the classic city letter logos, in particular the Bears' "C" and the 49ers' interlinked "SF". They work so well for such iconic cities as Chicago and San Francisco.
Indeed, San Francisco is blessed with two of the best logos in professional sports with two different takes on the "SF" theme: Giants and 49ers. The Giants one is as good as it gets; sensational.

The Poster we bought was made about 1970. I also got a St Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams poster too. We are sticking with old school teams, so HArtford Whalers, Montreal Expos are also welcome, but the Indy colts and the Baltimore Ravens, not so much.
We are thinking about the Houston Oilers Poster next, but we have been eyeing the rather expensive Dave Boss paintings on Ebay. Normally, I do not allow another artist's work to hang in my home, but the old mass produced NFL Boss paintings have a look that would fit into the decoration scheme, and are more affordable than Leroy Neiman
Fits nice in an 8 x 10 frame, and it say LOS ANGELES RAMS not St Louis Rams.
I noticed that the TOPPS products from 70 and 71 lack emblems on the helmets, I am wondering if they did not have licensing to reproduce them ?
I looked at a few signed jerseys, and am still looking into getting that Oilers Poster, but the EBay price is a little too high for me.
I did however find some cool vintage NHL and ABA stuff, but again, with a price.
Next thing on my wish list is this painting.
Now yes, I normally do not put work of other artists up in the house, but I want a painting, not a poster
Back in the 60s or 70s they used to sell these paintings (mass produced reprints of course) framed, on canvs in retail stores. They were painted by NFL photographer Dave Boss, who allowed the images to be used on game programs in the early 70s. The paintings, what are still around, go in the low $100 range, depending on condition, 125 to 150 as long as condition is good would be a fair price. Size is about 20 x 26 nothing huge, but each team captures some expression and action in the painting.
I would take a Colts one IF one came on the market.
AZ needs to do something with that Cardinal. Trying to give a bird the mean look just aint working.
Name and logo I wish would return: Houston Oilers
Oh man, I used to HATE the Houston Oilers back in the day!!!! But then again I am a Browns fan. There were some memorable games between the 2 teams back in the day. That whole old AFC Central was always at each other throats back in the day! Goodtimes!!!! That being said that, and being from a city that lost a football team for 3 years, I do wish that they would have left that name in Houston for the new expansion team, and I do miss that rivalry with the Oilers. But the Texans do seem to have a pretty good following.
