Been a Browns fan all my life.

All I can say is that if you can be a Browns or Lions fan after the last decade, then you surely have some admirable nerves. Pittsburgh may have some rings, but we still have 4 NFL championships and 11 appearances in Super Bowls/Championship games. He were the team to beat back in the 50's when football was truly an unsafe contact sport. We had monsters of players that would put most players in the ground

Question What's Your Favorite Pro Football Team And Why Do You "Root" For Them?

I'm curious; my favorite team is the Pittsburgh Steelers. Mainly because I grew up and lived in Pa. for 30+ years and Pittsburgh reminds me of a larger version of Scranton.

Also when I became aware of football; Pittsburgh was not a good team and was always an underdog. That all changed in the seventies, with the "steel curtain" Defense.

So what is your favorite pro team and why?

Washington Redskins- Grew up in the DC area and North Carolina (Before the Panthers came to the league in 1996), loved Joe Gibbs growing up, always loved the 'Skins, so many good memories. Now with Danny F***ing Snyder, I"m not sure why I'm still a fan considering all these years I've lived away and considering him as an owner and what he stands for!

I used to like Denver back in the late 90s. Then I became a Patriots fan in the early 2000's. In 2005 I switched to being a Steelers fan. Although now I feel a real connection with the Saints. It just feels right.

That was the oh-so-subtle joke, yes.

Ok...since sarcasm is not big on this forum, I'll answer the original question.

I'm a Steelers / Bears fan (yesterday was very manic/depressive). They are my teams because I was born in Chicago and its where all my family is. I lived in PA for 20 years. If they met in a SB, I'd have to pick the Steelers.

warning, upcoming satire...

Green Bay Packers. When I was arrested and sent to prison for espionage and treason in the early 70's, they sent me to prison at the Federal Correctional Institution in Oxford, Wisconsin. Most of the other inmates there were convicted of buggery and almost all of them were ex-Packer players and front office personnel. "Packers this" and "Packers that" was all I heard all day long and I guess the team just grew on me.

I'm not sure what "satire" means, but something sounds fishy with your story. I just watched My Cousin Vinny last week so I'm fairly well acquanted with the court system. According to Wikipedia, in 2006 Adam Yahiye Gadahn was the first person indicted of treason since 1952. You said you were sent to prison in the early 70s. Also, the Packer people would have been convicted of sodomy, not "buggery" as you say.

I see that your location says you are in Minnesota. I'm starting to question your motives.
