Well there are only two undefeated teams left in different conferences which technically means there is only one undefeated team if both(Indianapolis and New Orleans) were to meet in the Superbowl with no losses and no ties on their records. I think New Orleans would be the team the 72' Dolphins are getting edgy about at this point as they are finding ways to win and with plenty of talent to back it up.

Could this be the team to match what the 72' Dolphins did and that is perfection? What are your thoughts?

No. Just too hard to do.

I'm wondering if TB can match the feat Detroit achieved last seaon. What are your thoughts?

They have done that already at 0-14 in the first season and 2-12 in the second of their franchise history for a combined record of 2-26 under Coach John McKay,Tampa Bay was horrible then and so were their uniforms.Yes,it is a possibility without Coach Gruden not there, there is a chance for perfection of being defeated (0-16) in the 2009 season.

To restate what I have already said, that 2-26 record was 26 losses in a row before the franchise even won their first game, can you imagine that 26 straight losses and here was Coach McKay a successful coach from USC, getting thumped for two straight years while in the pros.I believe ironically enough their first win was agaist the Detroit Lions.

Oh yeah. Colts dumped a game on purpose, so sip away fins.

Congrats to another fine year of accomplishment.

Hmmm... seems kind of empty without...

Maybe they should investigate Polian!Pete Rose was kicked out for gambling.I bet Polian had a side bet that his team wouldn't finish it undefeated. He ensured that!

I believe the difference with the 72 Dolphins is that they had depth on their team especially at quarterback as was evident with Earl Morrall when Griese went out with an injury. I didn't see the quality with Painter at QB for the Colts as he was a drastic drop off in talent from Manning as well as other players.

I think another difference is that it was more run-oriented in the early days of the NFL, so that 15-10 Colts lead(THIS PAST SUNDAY) would have been significant back in 72 .today it is nothing to come back from a three-touchdown lead with the way the passing game has opened up.

The 72' Dolphins are still the only perfect team who will live by themselves in Perfectville for another season as the only undefeated team(Kansas City)was beaten today by the Colts.

There will be champagne corks popping tonight by the 72 Dolphin players, who attained a feat no one has accomplished(38 years later) since the Super Bowl was started.
