I don't think it's fair that the Redskins are being used as the scapegoat while other teams with equally offensive names are being let off the hook. I think a lot of people who are criticizing the Redskins are doing so because it's the trendy thing to do now. Were was all this anger from the masses 10 to 20 years ago.

Like I already said, where were the masses of people who were against it. Of course there were protest from certain groups but there is no denying that Redskins name controversy has grown significantly in mainstream America. It's now at the point to where people who are not even into sports have strong opinions on this topic. Even the President had something to say about it. All I'm saying is that where was this huge outcry from the majority of Americans 10-20 years ago. Most didn't have a problem with it until it became popular thing to do so.

It comes and goes like the Tide. I remember some outcry 10/20 years ago.. but it didn't last long and neither will this one. Sure there will always be the baton carriers but their voices will be silenced as soon as the media discovers that they are getting no traction with this story.

The bottom line is, Dan Snyder has spoken and he aint changing the name.. at least not until he starts to feel the pinch in his pocket book and lets be honest, the folks that are outraged about the Redskins name aren't the folks that have been lining his pockets anyway.... so why the HELL would he change the name.. ?
