No one is encouraging anything. This is no different than guys who serve in the millitary or young kids on the playground.
Ever since the beginning of times, there have always been bullies, and there always will be in the future...
Just like there have always been simple ways to handle it. Apparently the choice this guy made was to run home to mommy instead of dealing directly with it...

As far as I am concerned this is nothing more than workplace harassment. Go into your job and demean and taunt one of your co-workers endlessly and see how long you last. You can't do anything about opponents teasing and taunting you but you should not have to put up with it in your OWN TEAM'S locker room. It should not have come to this point. A good coaching and front office would have made it clear this would not be tolerated. He obviously felt no one on the team had his back with all he is asked to do for that team so why should he labor himself for a team that no one cares for his well-being?
I prefer that he take some time off to do what he needs to do rather than get to the point of snapping & doing something dumb like throwing fists or even bringing a gun to practice. This has been going on since the 2012 season, so it's not like a 1 time incident. I wish more people were man enough to step back & take some time instead of going "postal".
Give the guy a break. I doubt we know the entire or even half of the story of what's going on here. Maybe there is something going on back home & combined with this it pushed him to a breaking point.
I love how the military is thrown about as some shining beacon .... the same military that covers up for the rapes of their sister in arms .... yeah, let's not put their employment practices on a pedestal here
also not shocking that richie incognito is at the center of this .... guy has always been the fat kid who was bullied and roided up in response .... absolute clownshoe ... has to eat him up that a kid can come from a muli-generational Harvard background and still be bigger/stronger than him ........ what else do you expect punks like that to do?

Ridiculous. The Dolphins organization/coaches need to be ashamed of themselves too. They finally admitted they knew about it but "thought it was settled". That's a bunch of B.S.
Like most on the job harrassment, it's not dealt with until somebody makes threats or comes back blasting.
Having rookies pay for expensive meals is nothing new in the NFL..., most teams and veterans pull this prank. Obviously there is more to the story than just this and if Incognito wants to clear his name, he might want to STOP challenging Sheftner to a fight on twitter..
With one of his tweets seemingly challenging Schefter to a fight, Incognito may not be helping prove that he is not a bully.
Richie Incognito was advised by Joe Philbin tonight he has been indefinitely suspended by team while NFL investigates, Incognito tells me.

Perhaps this Martin kid is a little thin skinned or Perhaps Incognito took this a little too far, probably a little of both. If more players on the Dolphins come out and side with Martin, then I would as well but for now its just a "he said, she said" situation.
except it sounds like Martin has some texts and voicemails to show exactly what richie said and it sounds like it could be racial
see how it develops, but pretty clear who was in the right and wrong here
