With everyone at least halfway through their schedules, it's not too early to start looking at the playoff picture and discussing how it will change from week to week. Obviously it will change a lot, but if it started now, this is what we would see in the AFC:

1. Chiefs: 9-0

2. Patriots: 7-2

3. Colts: 6-2

4. Bengals: 6-3

5. Broncos: 7-1

6. Jets: 5-4

In the hunt:

Titans: 4-4

Dolphins: 4-4

Chargers: 4-4

Browns: 4-5

Right now the Broncos, Chiefs, Patriots, and Colts appear to be a lock. With that said, the Patriots and Colts have just a 2 game lead over the Jets and Titans respectively. The Bengals have not heard the last from the Browns, and the Chiefs and Broncos have not even played each other yet, so this playoff picture can still change a lot before week 17 comes to a close.

I have a feeling about the Browns, and Jets. I think they will make it, at least as wildcards.

I think Bengals will choke and miss out, Colts I do not see going very far in the playoffs, I think there is a chance they could miss out too.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Browns moved up and take the AFC North. Jason Campbell has brought some life into that offense. Him and Weeden are tied with the same number of touchdown passes and Campbell only started two games. I think the Browns can sweep the Steelers this season and get a win against the Jets. The Bengals have Cleveland again, San Diego and Indianapolis.

Titans are likely to get the final spot while Kansas City and Denver will play for the AFC West and the loser gets the #5 seed. Tennessee currently have a better conference record than both San Diego and New York and have a much favorable schedule. The Titans can get at least one win from the Colts and have yet to play the Jaguars.

Titans could easily win the AFC South if they manage to sweep the Colts. You may be right that there is a chance the Colts may miss the playoffs. Case Keenum played well against the Colts last night. He'll get another shot in six weeks and the Colts play the Chiefs who are likely to be battling for the division as well as a shot at HFA. San Diego just have too much ground to cover being in the same division as the Chiefs and Broncos. Their OT loss to the Redskins may have cost them a playoff spot.

I agree with you guys about the Browns. They get the Bengals after their bye week. The Bengals are 6-3 now, but could be 7-3 or 6-4 depending on the results of their game against the Ravens. Either way, the Browns know that their only shot realistically is if they beat the Bengals in Cincy.

As for the Colts, the only way I see them dropping out of the playoff picture is if they are swept by the Titans. That leaves them with 4 losses. They play the Chiefs in KC, and the Bengals in Cincy. It's really a stretch to believe they are not going at least 2-2 in those four games. This is a team that has beat three of the best teams in the league already.

Forgot Denver and Kansas City were in the same division.... one of those two will be a wildcard. Browns win the north, and maybe Patriots and Jets fight for division and the last wildcard.

Jets defense is good, really good.

Jets have a nice remaining schedule.

Then again, I've said that before.

It's nice to see that the Browns and the "P" word are being used in the same sentence. Still a lot of football left, but I'm a lot more optimistic about their chances now that Brandon Weeden is back riding the bench.

There is nothing depressing about the playoffs. Unless you're a Bills fan.

But they still have even weeks (wins) and odd weeks (losses). So 8-8 it is!
